Male server with long hair had a really creepy vibe and was staring at us the entire night. Not the one with glasses and tattoos, but the other one. Really weird and creepy.

We went to Zuni for lunch on Sunday after the farmers market, 12pm reservation. I've wanted to try their famous roast chicken for Caesar salad for years. We ordered the Caesar salad $20 and the roast chicken for two $72, plus a glass of wine. The chicken is famous for a reason. It comes with bread salad with currants and pine nuts, not regular potatoes. The chicken skin is crispy, salty, meat is juicy, cooked in their brick oven. You can see the oven from the table. The Caesar is also legendary, made tableside, very garlicky with anchovies, not creamy. The restaurant is beautiful, big windows on Market St, high ceiling, feels like a European cafe. Service was a bit slow that day, took 20 mins to get water refilled, but they were busy. Our server was knowledgeable about wine. Price is high for chicken but it's enough for two, plus bread salad. Total with tip was $130 for two people sharing one chicken and salad and 2 glasses of wine. Not cheap. What I didn't like: the chicken takes 1 hour to cook, they tell you when you order. So if you're in a hurry, don't order it. We didn't mind because we were chatting. Parking is hard on Market, we took Muni. If you're from out of town, this is a very SF classic place. Julia Child used to eat here. It's been around since 1979. For me, the chicken lived up to the hype, but next time I'd come for dinner when it's less rushed.

It was ok. Went about 2-3 years ago and each time it has just declined. At this point I will not return. The wait during the lunch time rush did not bother me, but once I got seated and got the chicken meal, Mac and cheese and greens, I regretted coming. The chicken and greens tasted like the same flavor profile was used, the fry on it as well was just not to my taste. Mac n cheese - meh. The biscuit was not bad and I ate all of it only to provide myself sustenance as I was not enjoying the other parts of my meal. Honestly, it was just a miss and I will never return.

Cool spot! Dark, slightly worn venue with a lot of character in its walls with decent music and great beers on tap and the varity of beer stylea is amazing! Just what i like! Also had a pretzel and sausages which was decent enought. Great vibe at the back yard, plenty of seating!

I used to think this location had great quality food and that it was much better than Mint Plaza location. Boy did you prove me wrong! Wok tossed chilly beef from Mint Plaza has been juicy and tender in my last few orders whereas you are consistently sending super dry, bland beef with no juice or flavor whatsoever. Well way to lose your customers’ business and trust.

Tea Leaf Salad is a must. I personally enjoyed the Burmese Curry and the Eggplant with Shrimp in Garlic sauce.

A nice new York slice, crisped well on the bottom. I do think it needed a bit more salt though. Also, not the biggest fan of the olive oil drizzle added after the shredded Parmesan cheese.
